The pioneering "Happiness in the Heartland Conference" is set to debut on March 20, 2024, in Indianapolis, Indiana. This premier event aims to explore and celebrate the art of happiness in professional settings and everyday experiences. The conference features interactive sessions designed to inspire and empower individuals to cultivate joy and appreciation in all facets of life.


A Fusion of Professional and Personal Growth: The conference will offer a diverse lineup of activities, including the workshop "Joy at Work: Mastering the Art of Appreciation" and an invigorating Laughter Yoga session with certified laughter yogi Kris Ratekin. Attendees will also have the unique opportunity to engage with Dr. Ratekin during an author meet-and-greet and book signing event.


Giving Back to the Community:  True to its mission of spreading happiness, the conference will support the homeless community in Indiana. While this conference is being made available to registrants at no cost, attendees are kindly encouraged to consider a suggested donation of $20 per ticket, with all proceeds directly benefiting local initiatives aimed at improving the lives of Indiana's homeless.

About the Organizer:  Dr. Sarah Ratekin, DBA, MBA, MSML, BS has dedicated her career to creating incredible employee experiences. An Internationally Certified Chief Happiness Officer, Dr. Ratekin is renowned for her expertise in enhancing workplace culture and promoting general well-being. Her innovative approaches have made significant impacts in both organizational settings and personal lives. She is also the founder of Happiness Is Courage, and has worked with clients like the U.S. Army, Johns Hopkins University, and the Society for Human Resource Management, among others.
